OMG - An Aloe Vera Plant is all you need!I got a terrible sunburn at my sister's playing tennis. I am blonde and I knew I had really badly burned myself. Immediately, when you realize you're burned take an aloe leaf, split it open, cut of sharp edges and apply directly and gently to sunburn. Don't stop doing this until that burning sensation is gone! It will cool it immediately but you have to continue with another leaf, then another, and another....I ended up using the ENTIRE plant but had stopped the sunburn in time. I did end up buying her another plant though - for next time :)

Egg white for burnsThis is more for burns in general...
A young boy with a serious body burn was already healing by the time he reached the emergency room, amazing the doctor. Grandma had coated the burn with raw egg white. Next time we have a sunburn, I'll be trying it on that!
I have used fresh aloe (keep a plant handy!), then vitamin E oil many times on minor burns with great success. Takes the sting right out. Just run area under cold water first. For the E, simply bite open a little supplement capsule, apply, and swallow the rest while you're at it!

White VinegarImmediately after you get the sunburn, pat your skin down with white vinegar. I don't dilute it but you probably could. It stinks and you should leave it on as long as possible before bathing but it works wonders. No pain and no blisters.

Preparation H- Hemorrhoidal gel or creamPreparation H cream or gel..for relief of sunburn, I used to work in a pharmacy and the pharmacist told me about this and I laughed, but it works. Think about what it does for hemorrhoids. It shrinks swelling and stops pain, itching, redness, it has vitamin E and aloe...hello!!!!! Same thing as sunburn!!! Pain is gone within an hour, and you tan usually the next day depending on the severity of the burn. You must use it as soon as you sunburn, don't wait days later.

Never use oil !!!I'm not an expert but I know to never use oil of any kind on any burn if you feel the skin it is still hot so oil jus keeps it cooking. It will take twice as long to heal. I use aloe vera the real plant cut it open and rub it on the burn several times until the burn is healed.
